We need a practitioner who can balance academic theory with practical performance.
Curriculum: Deliver high-quality Drama lessons to KS3 and KS4 (GCSE), with the potential for KS5 (A-Level/BTEC) teaching for the right candidate.
Directing: Take a lead role in the school’s annual major production and smaller showcases throughout the year.
Enrichment: Run lunch/after-school drama clubs and organise theatre trips to the West End and local Harrow Arts Centre.
Assessment: rigorous tracking of student progress in both devising and scripted components.
QTS: Must hold Qualified Teacher Status in the UK.
Degree: A relevant degree in Drama, Theatre Studies, or Performing Arts.
Presence: Strong classroom management skills with the ability to command a room and channel student energy effectively.
Vision: A clear idea of how to make the Drama curriculum inclusive and engaging for students of all backgrounds.
