This is a rewarding opportunity to join a supportive secondary school in Harrow, working 1:1 with a KS4 student with ADHD and helping them thrive both academically and emotionally.

The school is known for its inclusive ethos, strong pastoral support, and commitment to meeting the needs of every learner. Staff work closely as a team to provide consistency, structure, and encouragement—creating an environment where students feel safe, understood, and motivated to succeed.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in the student’s day-to-day learning and development. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing 1:1 support to a KS4 student with ADHD

• Supporting focus, engagement, and positive behaviour in lessons

• Helping adapt learning materials to meet individual needs

• Encouraging independence, confidence, and self-regulation

• Working closely with class teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams

• Monitoring progress and contributing to support strategies

The Ideal Candidate

This role would suit someone who:

• Has experience working with SEN, particularly ADHD

• Has previous experience in a secondary school setting (preferred)

• Is calm, resilient, and highly empathetic

• Can build strong, trusting relationships with students

• Is reliable, organised, and committed to inclusion

Why Apply?

• Competitive daily rate of £90–£100

• Term-time only hours for a healthy work-life balance

• Opportunity to make a meaningful impact through 1:1 support

• Supportive school environment with experienced SEN professionals

• Ongoing guidance and support from Teach Now throughout your placement
