A well‑established mainstream primary school in Harrow is seeking a passionate and committed Primary Teaching Assistant to join their dynamic team.
This role offers the opportunity to support pupils’ learning and development in a busy and diverse primary environment, working closely with teachers to deliver high‑quality classroom assistance and targeted support across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, adaptable, and dedicated to making a real difference to children’s academic progress, behaviour, and overall school experience.

The Role
As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Support pupils’ learning across the curriculum in whole class, group, and individual settings
• Assist the class teacher with planning and delivering engaging, differentiated activities
• Provide targeted support in English and Maths, including intervention work
• Work flexibly across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, adapting support to age and ability
• Help pupils stay focused, engaged, and confident in their learning
• Support behaviour for learning and encourage positive conduct and routines
• Assist with supervision during classroom activities, transitions, break times, and school events
• Observe and record pupil progress and contribute to assessment and planning discussions
• Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and leadership to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
About You
• Experience working in a primary school or educational setting, preferably within the UK
• Relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 TA, CACHE, or equivalent) — desirable
• Enthusiastic, patient, adaptable, and confident in working with children
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
• Experience or interest in supporting Maths and English interventions
• Understanding of safeguarding, inclusion, and positive behaviour support
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply via Uniform Education)
