A supportive local education service in Harrow is looking for Cover Teaching Assistants to provide flexible support across mainstream primary schools. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with pupils who have SEN and additional needs, helping them engage and achieve in a variety of classroom settings.

About the Role

As a Cover Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN

• Assist with communication strategies such as visual supports, Makaton, PECS, or AAC

• Support differentiated learning and classroom activities

• Help pupils with emotional regulation, independence, and social skills

• Provide personal care and mobility support where required

• Adapt confidently to different classrooms and schools across Harrow

• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff

About You

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN

• Patient, compassionate, and resilient approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Comfortable supporting personal care or physical needs if required

• Flexible and confident working across multiple schools

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply via Uniform Education)
