Primary Teacher

Overview

Education World is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school seeking a committed and enthusiastic Year 4 qualified teacher. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching and learning, inspire pupils, and contribute positively to the wider life of the school.

You will fulfil the professional responsibilities of a teacher in line with the School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document and Teachers' Standards.

• Plan and deliver well-structured lessons following curriculum plans and schemes of work
• Assess, monitor, record and report on pupil progress
• Adapt teaching to meet the strengths and needs of all learners
• Set high expectations that motivate and challenge pupils
• Promote strong progress and outcomes for children
• Demonstrate secure subject and curriculum knowledge
• Prepare pupils for statutory and external assessments
• Support independent learning and inclusive practice

• Support school policies, values and development priorities
• Contribute to the wider school ethos and activities
• Work collaboratively on curriculum and pupil development

• Maintain a safe, disciplined learning environment
• Promote pupil wellbeing and positive behaviour
• Work with the DSL to protect pupils' best interests

• Work collaboratively with colleagues and professionals
• Communicate effectively with parents and carers
• Uphold professional conduct, attendance and punctuality standards

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum
• Effective teaching and learning strategies
• Understanding of child development and how children learn
• Ability to adapt teaching for diverse needs
• Behaviour management skills
• Good ICT skills to support learning

• Commitment to achieving the best outcomes for pupils
• High expectations for attainment and progress
• Ability to prioritise and work under pressure
• Professional integrity and confidentiality
