Overview
Education World is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school seeking a committed and enthusiastic Year 4 qualified teacher. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching and learning, inspire pupils, and contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
You will fulfil the professional responsibilities of a teacher in line with the School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document and Teachers' Standards.
Responsibilities Teaching & Learning- Plan and deliver well-structured lessons following curriculum plans and schemes of work
- Assess, monitor, record and report on pupil progress
- Adapt teaching to meet the strengths and needs of all learners
- Set high expectations that motivate and challenge pupils
- Promote strong progress and outcomes for children
- Demonstrate secure subject and curriculum knowledge
- Prepare pupils for statutory and external assessments
- Support independent learning and inclusive practice
- Support school policies, values and development priorities
- Contribute to the wider school ethos and activities
- Work collaboratively on curriculum and pupil development
- Maintain a safe, disciplined learning environment
- Promote pupil wellbeing and positive behaviour
- Work with the DSL to protect pupils' best interests
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and professionals
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers
- Uphold professional conduct, attendance and punctuality standards
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum
- Effective teaching and learning strategies
- Understanding of child development and how children learn
- Ability to adapt teaching for diverse needs
- Behaviour management skills
- Good ICT skills to support learning
- Commitment to achieving the best outcomes for pupils
- High expectations for attainment and progress
- Ability to prioritise and work under pressure
- Professional integrity and confidentiality
