A supportive secondary school in Harrow is seeking a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant from September 2026 until July 2027. This role is ideal for an Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist looking to work with pupils with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), Global Developmental Delay (GDD), Autism and other SEND.

• Full-time, long-term role from September 2026 - July 2027.
• Gain invaluable experience supporting pupils with SLCN, GDD, Autism and additional SEND.
• Work alongside experienced SENDCos, teachers and external Speech and Language Therapists.
• Excellent preparation for MSc Speech and Language Therapy or other postgraduate study.
• Ongoing training, mentoring and professional development throughout the academic year.

• Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
• Deliver speech, language and communication interventions.
• Work alongside teachers, the SENDCo and external therapists.
• Monitor progress and contribute to personalised support plans.

• Graduate with ambitions of becoming a SaLT.
• A minimum 2:1 Psychology degree from a Russell Group University is highly desirable.
• Strong A-Level and GCSE academic profile.
• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND is advantageous.
• A genuine ambition to pursue a career in SaLT or a related profession.
• Patient, resilient and an excellent communicator with a proactive approach.
