A respected specialist school in Harrow is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis from February 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an educator passionate about supporting students with autism and related needs, such as speech and language challenges, sensory processing difficulties, and behavioural regulation.
You'll be working in a supportive, well-equipped environment with small class sizes and a high staff-to-student ratio. The school prides itself on offering personalised learning experiences that enable each pupil to reach their potential, supported by a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

- Monitor and report on pupil progress in relation to EHCP outcomes and individual learning targets
- Use evidence-based strategies to support emotional regulation, independence, and self-management
- Create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment where students feel valued and supported
- Engage in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and actively contribute to the wider school community
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred but not essential
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, particularly in a specialist or alternative education setting
- A strong understanding of autism and related developmental needs
- Patient, resilient, and nurturing in your approach to teaching and supporting students
- Confident communicator who can collaborate effectively within a team
- Must hold (or be willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service
- A warm, inclusive school culture focused on meeting each pupil's individual needs
- Small, well-equipped classes with a dedicated team of support staff
- Access to specialist CPD, including training in autism, sensory integration, and communication strategies
- Competitive salary (depending on experience) with opportunities for career progression into leadership or specialist roles
- Generous holiday entitlement and a healthy work-life balance
- Purpose-built facilities designed to support students' sensory, communication, and learning needs
