The Opportunity:

Long Term Futures are seeking an experienced and dedicated SEN Class Teacher to join a highly regarded specialist primary school in the Harrow area from September 2026.

The school supports pupils with a range of complex needs, including Autism (ASD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), communication needs, and associated developmental challenges. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a nurturing, well-resourced environment where small class sizes, personalised learning, and therapeutic support are at the heart of the curriculum.

The successful candidate will be an experienced practitioner with a passion for inclusive education and a proven ability to deliver engaging, highly differentiated lessons that enable every pupil to reach their full potential.

Your

Key Responsibilities:

* Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to pupils with complex SEN needs

* Develop and implement personalised learning programmes linked to EHCP outcomes

* Create a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment

* Support pupils' communication, independence, and social development

* Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists, and families

* Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress effectively

* Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and pupil wellbeing through consistent support strategies

Requirements:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Essential (ECTs cannot be considered for this role)

* Previous experience teaching pupils with SEN and complex needs

* Experience teaching within KS1 and/or KS2

* Strong understanding of Autism, communication needs, and differentiated teaching strategies

* Excellent classroom management and relationship-building skills

* Passion for inclusive education and supporting vulnerable learners

* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
