The Opportunity:
Long Term Futures are seeking an experienced and dedicated SEN Class Teacher to join a highly regarded specialist primary school in the Harrow area from September 2026.
The school supports pupils with a range of complex needs, including Autism (ASD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), communication needs, and associated developmental challenges. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a nurturing, well-resourced environment where small class sizes, personalised learning, and therapeutic support are at the heart of the curriculum.
The successful candidate will be an experienced practitioner with a passion for inclusive education and a proven ability to deliver engaging, highly differentiated lessons that enable every pupil to reach their full potential.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to pupils with complex SEN needs
Develop and implement personalised learning programmes linked to EHCP outcomes
Create a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
Support pupils' communication, independence, and social development
Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists, and families
Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress effectively
Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and pupil wellbeing through consistent support strategies
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Essential (ECTs cannot be considered for this role)
Previous experience teaching pupils with SEN and complex needs
Experience teaching within KS1 and/or KS2
Strong understanding of Autism, communication needs, and differentiated teaching strategies
Excellent classroom management and relationship-building skills
Passion for inclusive education and supporting vulnerable learners
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
