Join The TeamWe are seeking an enthusiastic, skilled and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our vibrant three-form entry primary school in Stanmore. The RoleAs our HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. Working closely with class teachers and senior leaders, you will deliver high-quality learning experiences, lead whole-class teaching when required, and provide targeted support to individuals and groups of pupils.
- Deliver planned lessons across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 in the absence of the class teacher.
- Support pupils to make excellent progress through high-quality interventions.
- Work collaboratively with teachers to plan, prepare and evaluate learning activities.
- Promote positive behaviour and maintain high expectations for all pupils.
- Support pupils with a range of learning needs, ensuring an inclusive approach.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and participate in school events and enrichment activities.
- Holds HLTA status or has equivalent qualifications and experience.
- Has successful experience of supporting teaching and learning in a primary school.
- Is confident leading whole-class learning across different year groups.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrates initiative, flexibility and a positive attitude.
- Has high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour.
- Works effectively as part of a collaborative team.
