Prospero Teaching is seeking enthusiastic, motivated, and ambitious Graduate Teaching Assistants to join a range of excellent secondary schools across North London
. This is an ideal opportunity for graduates who are passionate about education and want to gain hands‑on classroom experience before progressing into teacher training or other educational careers.
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students and teachers across the school. You will work closely with pupils to help raise attainment, improve confidence, and create a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Providing 1:1 support for students who require additional academic or pastoral assistance.
- Building positive relationships with students and helping them overcome barriers to learning.
- Delivering small‑group intervention sessions to improve student progress.
- Supporting pupils with SEN, behavioural, emotional, or academic needs.
- Assisting with classroom management and promoting positive behaviour.
- Contributing to extracurricular activities, including after‑school clubs and enrichment programmes.
- Helping create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
The successful candidate will:
- Hold a degree (any subject considered).
- Have a genuine interest in education and working with young people.
- Be considering a future career in teaching, educational psychology, youth work, or a related field.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be proactive, adaptable, and enthusiastic.
- Be committed to supporting students to achieve their full potential.
- Have previous experience working with young people (desirable but not essential).

- Typical school hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm
. - Attendance at occasional after‑school activities and staff meetings may be required.
- Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
- Be willing to complete Prospero Teaching’s registration and compliance process.
- Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
- Be able to provide professional references.
