We're working with welcoming and inclusive Secondary Schools across Harrow who are looking for compassionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistants to join their teams. This is a fantastic opportunity to support students with a range of additional needs, helping them build confidence, develop independence and thrive both academically and socially.

You'll work closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral staff to provide tailored support that helps every student feel valued, included and ready to succeed.

What you'll be doing:
  • Supporting students with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in lessons and around the school
  • Providing one‑to‑one and small group support to help students access learning
  • Encouraging positive behaviour, emotional regulation and independence
  • Adapting activities and resources to meet individual learning needs
  • Building positive, trusting relationships with students, staff and families
  • Working closely with teachers and the SEN team to monitor progress and celebrate achievements
What we're looking for:
  • Experience supporting young people with SEND, or a genuine passion for working in this area
  • A calm, patient and resilient approach
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
  • A positive team player who is adaptable and proactive
  • Experience in education, care, youth work, mental health support or similar settings is desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
