We're working with welcoming and well-supported Secondary Schools across Harrow who are looking for reliable Cover Supervisors to join their teams. You'll play a key role in keeping learning on track when teachers are absent, ensuring students stay engaged and classrooms remain positive learning environments.
What you'll be doing:- Supervising classes using pre-prepared lesson plans in the teacher's absence
- Managing classroom behaviour and creating a positive learning environment
- Supporting students with their learning and answering questions where appropriate
- Ensuring pupils remain focused and complete the work set
- Reporting back to teaching staff on student progress, behaviour and lesson outcomes
- Building positive relationships with students and becoming a valued member of the school community
- Confidence leading a classroom and engaging with secondary-aged students
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A calm, resilient and professional approach
- The ability to think on your feet and adapt to different subjects and year groups
- Experience working with young people in schools, coaching, youth work or similar settings is desirable but not essential
- Graduates and aspiring teachers are encouraged to apply

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
