We're working with welcoming Secondary Schools in Harrow looking for a qualified and experienced Music Teacher to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident educator who can hit the ground running, deliver inspiring music lessons and make a real impact from day one.

What you'll be doing
  • Teaching Music across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 depending on your experience
  • Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons that inspire pupils to develop their musical skills, creativity and confidence
  • Teaching a broad and inclusive music curriculum, covering practical performance, composition and music theory
  • Assessing progress, providing meaningful feedback and helping every student reach their full potential
  • Leading or supporting extracurricular music activities, including choirs, ensembles, concerts and school performances
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to a thriving Performing Arts department and wider school community
What we're looking for
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. This role is not suitable for unqualified teachers
  • Proven experience teaching Music in UK secondary schools
  • The confidence and expertise to deliver engaging Music lessons independently from the outset
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills, with the ability to inspire pupils of all musical abilities
  • A genuine passion for music education and helping young people develop their creativity and self-expression
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
