Attendance Coordinator

36 hours per week, 39 weeks per year to cover term times 8.45am start (Monday Friday) Based at Harrow-on-the-Hill Campus Actual salary in the range of £24,478 - £27,131 per annum including London Weighting We are seeking a pro-active and well-organised individual to fill this rewarding role based within our School of Business, Sport, Hair and Beauty. You would work closely with students, their parents, Lecturers and other College staff, working in a proactive way to ensure students attend College regularly and achieve their learning goals.

Responsibilities include identifying and acting immediately on problems relating to student attendance, punctuality and progress to ensure that students maintain an excellent attendance record. You would take a pro-active role, including engaging at risk learners in person and over the telephone. You would also maintain College systems, produce reports on different groups, discuss students progress with teaching staff and arrange student disciplinary meetings regarding attendance.

We are seeking a candidate administrative experience in a busy environment with good IT skills; experience of the education sector would be an advantage. You should also have excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills, and enthusiasm for working with young people. Please note, we are not able to offer sponsorship for this role. for individuals who start a term time only role after 1st September, the salary will be pro-rated from the start date to the end of this academic year (31 st August 2027). This ensures that the correct entitlement to pay and holiday pay relative to the portion of the year worked. This will be paid in equal monthly instalments until 31 August.

The salary will revert to the normal arrangements as stated in the advert at the start of the following academic year.
