For the right Psychology Graduate, this is an excellent opportunity to build meaningful experience working closely with children with additional needs, supported by experienced SEND professionals in a well-resourced school environment. As a Psychology Graduate , you will benefit from: A dedicated and well-established SEND provision Excellent school facilities and resources Exposure to a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD and SEMH Opportunities to develop your understanding of behaviour, communication and emotional regulation A supportive environment for graduates considering careers in educational psychology, child psychology, teaching or SEND Your Role as a Psychology Graduate As a Psychology Graduate, you will provide dedicated support to a Year 1 child with autism (ASD), ADHD and challenging behaviour, while also gaining experience within the school's autism provision.
Your responsibilities will include:
Psychology Graduate | Full-Time, Term Time Only Immediate start – July 2027 £ 460 per week PAYE Providing 1:1 support to a Year 1 child with ASD, ADHD and challenging behaviour Developing and maintaining a positive, trusting relationship with the child Working 1:1 and in small groups with pupils with SEND Using a child-centred and consistent approach to support individual needs What We're Looking For We are looking for a Psychology Graduate who is genuinely passionate about working with children and wants to develop their understanding of SEND.
You will ideally have: A Psychology degree, ideally 2:1 or above Previous child-centred experience Experience tutoring, mentoring, coaching, volunteering in a school or working as a Teaching Assistant is highly desirable A genuine interest in SEND, autism, ADHD and child development Strong communication and interpersonal skills Patience, resilience and a calm approach The ability to build positive relationships with children Psychology Graduate | Application This is a fantastic opportunity for a Psychology Graduate to gain substantial, practical experience in a specialist SEND environment while making a genuine difference to a child's education and development.
