Job Overview
The post holder will be expected to support and assist the Assistant Service Manager. As the role will involve managing an admin team, staff appraisals will need to be conducted timely and vacancies filled, with staff fully inducted to Audiology. The post holder will also register and update patient information on multiple hospital systems, answer telephone enquiries to hospital staff, GPs, patients and carers, and investigate all queries.
Responsibilities- Manage the Audiology outpatient team.
- Promote a high quality, efficient and effective service, focusing on the needs of all service users.
- Handle inquiries from staff, patients and visitors relating to Audiology appointments.
- Analyse waiting lists and check clinic utilisation.
- Plan and organise straightforward tasks/activities.
- Prioritise own workload and use own initiative to deal with problems.
- Intercept complaints as they arise.
- Monitor the generic mailbox and telephones.
- Book new and follow up appointments as required.
- Order stationery.
- Cover reception as and when required (on any site).
