Overview
STARRS is Acute service which aims to bring the best of hospital care to a patient's home and therefore avoid unnecessary hospital attendance/admissions.
We provide an Early support Discharge service & Virtual wards to reduce the length of stay of patient in hospital by continuing their care at home.
Single Point of Access (SPA)The Single Point of Access (SPA) is an administrative service whose purpose is to streamline and co‑ordinate all referrals to STARRS, providing a central base through which referrers can access all disciplines. The SPA coordinates the whole service pathway as well as monitoring the process.
Role: SPA AdministratorWe are looking for a competent and diligent Administrator to work as part of the SPA team will be expected to fulfil your duties to a very high standard to ensure the smooth running of this busy team.
The SPA Administrator is crucial to the whole service as it determines the timely response to referrals which guarantees the safe, appropriate management of patients throughout the whole Short Term Assessment Rehabilitation and Reablement Service (STARRS) – Virtual Wards (Virtual and Face to Face).
Key Responsibilities- Use healthcare digital technology to monitor patients with different specialities.
- Use modern technology to monitor patients remotely with approved health applications.
- Monitor patients through digital dashboard for clinical parameters and follow up the appropriate clinical action as required.
- Promote the wellbeing and safety of all our patients and carers by acting promptly on concerns, communicating effectively and sharing information appropriately, according to the standards determined by our policy and procedures.
- Ensure the smooth day‑to‑day running of the service.
- Coordinate and streamline referrals to STARRS.
- Monitor the service pathway and process.
All posts working with vulnerable groups will be subject to an enhanced criminal records check upon appointment and staff will need to give their consent for the Trust to receive regular updates on their criminal records status throughout their employment.
