We have an opportunity for a Lead Cardiac Physiologist to join our Cardiology department. This full‑time role requires covering a flexible shift pattern.
Key Responsibilities- Work alongside and support the departmental team leaders and Clinical Services Manager – Cardiology in providing high‑quality healthcare and technical expertise.
- Adopt standards set by the Society for Cardiological Science & Technology, the British Cardiac Society, and the company.
- Provide efficient and effective cardiology in inpatient, day‑case and outpatient settings.
- Lead the team to deliver care that improves health, demonstrating compassion through empathy, respect and dignity.
- Plan, perform and interpret a range of investigations (ECG, Holter monitoring, BP monitoring, exercise testing, etc.) to a high level of competence.
- Comply with all relevant mandatory training.
- Current knowledge of a range of clinical specialties and developments in clinical practice.
- Experience in customer care, including interaction with customers in challenging situations.
- Prior experience working within the acute healthcare sector.
- Experience as a Clinical Lead.
- Degree in Clinical Physiology or equivalent / ONC / BTEC in physiological measurement and medical physics with a BHRS qualification.
- Device Qualification.
- Experience setting up a new service in catheter lab/cardiac thoracic.
- 25 days holiday per year + bank holidays, increasing to 30 days with service.
