London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust is looking to recruit a Service Manager to work across its Urgent Treatment Centres with the main base being Ealing Hospital. You will be expected to have a close working relationship with the ED team and, on occasion, required to cross‑cover between ED.

The Service Manager will play a pivotal role within the division’s leadership structure, providing operational support and managing the service day‑to‑day of the UTC.
The successful candidate will be expected to oversee a large portfolio of staff, practice strict financial governance, deliver on performance standards, regularly present at divisional meetings, manage conflicting priorities, line‑manage a large team, handle complaints, promote service improvement and maintain rota coordination. The Service Manager will also practise visible leadership in clinical areas to ensure colleagues and the team are effectively supported to deliver high‑quality care.

Service Delivery, Planning and Development
- Ensure that the services meet all relevant contractual and performance requirements, including ongoing assessment of future demand and capacity requirements.
- Be accountable for the effective performance of these services, demonstrating achievements against national and local requirements.

Person Specification Professional Qualifications- Evidence of continued professional development.
- Knowledge of UEC standards and performance.
- Budget management experience, including managing costs, monitoring and determining corrective action.
- Experience of presenting at meetings and MDT events to senior staff.
- Ability to analyse and interpret data and statistics, e.g. activity trends, financial data.
- Ability to prioritise effectively in the face of competing demands and work under pressure to strict deadlines.
- Strong leadership, negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to motivate and engage individuals and teams.
- VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) knowledge.
