Conveyancing Solicitor (Minimum 3 Years PQE)
Location: Harrow
We are working with a well-established law firm in Harrow who are looking to appoint an experienced and motivated Conveyancing Solicitor to join their growing property team.
This role offers the opportunity to manage a varied residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to post-completion, with some exposure to light commercial property work. You will be client-facing, hands-on and supported by an experienced team, delivering a high standard of service throughout the transaction process.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a full caseload of residential conveyancing matters, including:
- Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
- Remortgages and transfers of equity
- New build and Help to Buy transactions
- Handle light commercial property matters, such as:
- Leases for small retail units or office premises
- Commercial sales or purchases (typically under £1m)
- Draft, review and negotiate contracts and associated documentation
- Carry out title investigations and raise/respond to enquiries
- Liaise closely with clients, estate agents, lenders and other solicitors to ensure smooth progression of matters
- Provide regular updates to clients and manage expectations throughout the conveyancing process
- Deal with post-completion matters, including SDLT submissions and Land Registry applications
- Ensure compliance with CQS, AML and regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate records using case management systems and digital conveyancing tools
- Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years’ PQE in residential conveyancing
- Proven experience managing a conveyancing caseload independently
- Exposure to light commercial property work is advantageous but not essential
- Strong technical knowledge of residential conveyancing procedures
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
