Samsara is seeking a high‑impact Sales Engineer – Specialists, Emerging Products to bring our newest product lines to market s strategic overlay role works in partnership with senior Account Executives (AEs) across Enterprise accounts. You will lead early‑stage product scaling, influence GTM, own proof‑of‑value initiatives, and ultimately drive the technical close. The role is remote and requires up to 50% travel.
Key Responsibilities- Technically champion deal qualification to align with product capabilities.
- Drive and own trials/POVs that have yet to be run.
- Work with sales to develop pilot strategy and success metrics for early adoption.
- Own technical discovery and positioning for emerging products.
- Partner with GTM and Product to provide field feedback and shape the roadmap.
- Build frameworks, assets, and insights that scale across the sales organization.
- Represent emerging products as the technical evangelist for the region.
- Demonstrate the value proposition of Samsara’s emerging products and services, as well as the platform’s core capabilities via on‑site, webinar, or trade‑show engagements.
- Facilitate live proof‑of‑concept trials, including hardware installation for vehicles/ equipment to ensure prospects fully utilize the platform.
- Work closely with Product Management and related teams to develop the Samsara platform.
- Apply working knowledge of Big Data to identify trends (e.g., Databricks, Spark).
- Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs.
- Be organized, analytical, and eliminate sales obstacles using creative approaches.
- Remain highly available to Sales and cross‑functional teams, contributing measurable impact on sales and product development.
- Collaborate with account executives to plan, prepare, and execute strategic deals in complex sales cycles.
- Discover customer processes, needs, and pain points; translate that understanding into trusted advisory relationships.
- Match customer pain points and requirements to proposed solutions.
- Contribute to the team through technical and industry knowledge, training, and other initiatives.

- 5+ years of customer‑facing experience with 3+ years in pre‑sales.
- Experience with Enterprise sales cycles or equivalent.
- Consistent track record selling complex solutions.
- Clinical execution of discovery to POV and technical win.
- Understanding of value selling and MEDDICC.
- Overlay or new product launch experience.
- Experience working with Product and Marketing to influence GTM strategy.
- Ability to operate in strategic partnership with senior AEs and account teams.
- Comfort presenting to and influencing C‑suite executives.
- Hands‑on experience with customer evaluations and deployments.
- Proficiency in cloud software, IoT, networking, automation, or control systems.
- Experience with integration projects, RESTful APIs, and scripting (Python, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Knowledge of IoT hardware, vehicles, or general tinkering (work or hobby) is a plus.
