Are you an experienced Sales or Business Development professional with a strong understanding of the care home sector?

We are recruiting confidentially for a growing organisation looking to appoint a Sales & Business Development Manager to support a portfolio of care homes across London and the surrounding areas.

This is a hands-on commercial role with a clear focus on increasing occupancy, generating new referrals and building strong relationships with key referral partners .

You will work closely with individual care homes and their management teams, identifying opportunities to increase enquiries and admissions while strengthening the organisation's presence across the local market.

As Sales & Business Development Manager, you will:

Develop and implement sales and business development strategies across a portfolio of care homes

Drive occupancy, enquiries, referrals and admissions

Build strong relationships with local authorities, social workers, discharge teams, NHS professionals, commissioners and other referral partners

Proactively identify and develop new referral pathways

Generate private-pay enquiries and build relationships within local communities

Regularly visit care homes to understand vacancies, service offerings and individual commercial priorities

Support Home Managers to improve local marketing, networking and enquiry conversion

Build relationships with prospective residents and their families where required

Monitor local competitors, fees, demand and market opportunities

Track enquiries, referrals, conversions and occupancy performance

Attend networking events, meetings and industry events to promote the services

Work closely with senior management to identify opportunities for growth

We are looking for a commercially driven individual who:

Has previous sales, business development, referrals or occupancy experience within the care home sector

Understands the care home admissions and referral process

Has a proven ability to develop relationships and generate new business

Is confident engaging with commissioners, healthcare professionals, families and other key stakeholders

Is proactive and comfortable generating new opportunities rather than relying solely on incoming enquiries

Has strong communication, networking and relationship-building skills

Is target-driven with a strong commercial mindset

Is organised and able to manage multiple homes and priorities

Is comfortable spending a significant amount of time out in the field

Travel is an essential part of this position.

You will be supporting a group of care homes across London and the surrounding areas , so you must be comfortable travelling regularly between services and meeting referral partners across the region.
