POSITION HIGHLIGHTS- Full Time, Seasonal, 40 hours/week, 8 hours/day.
- Anticipated start date of May 2026, ending by August 31, 2026.
- Monday-Friday, First Shift.
- Positions based in Newington, CT.
- Office/On-Site.
The Health And Safety Clerical Seasonal Workers provide comprehensive clerical and administrative support to the Safety Division, ensuring the accurate processing, organization, and maintenance of safety-related records, documentation, and communications. This position supports the implementation of safety programs, regulatory compliance, coordination, and internal reporting functions critical to the agency’s safety mission.
Safety Administrative Support- Supports safety programs, initiatives, and compliance activities.
- Maintains incident reports, training records, logs, and safety documentation.
- Assists with the preparation and distribution of safety communications and bulletins.
- Formats and types correspondence, reports, meeting minutes, and safety materials.
- Proofreads and edits documents for accuracy and consistency.
- Prepares draft correspondence for supervisory review.
- Designs and maintains organized filing systems (including confidential records).
- Scans, indexes, and retains records per agency retention requirements.
- Maintains safety manuals, reference materials, and guidance documents.
- Compiles safety data from standard sources.
- Prepares reports such as incident tracking summaries, training participation logs, and monthly safety activity reports.
- Answers phones, routes calls, and provides accurate information.
- Greets visitors and coordinates communication with internal and external visitors.
- Reviews, routes, and prioritizes incoming safety correspondence.
- Coordinates meetings, trainings, and safety events.
- Maintains inventory of safety office supplies and equipment.
- Performs related duties in support of safety operations.
