OverviewJacobs is committed to reinvent tomorrow by solving critical problems in cities, environments, and healthcare. We are seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to coordinate construction projects in an occupied healthcare facility in the Northeast/Mid‑Atlantic Region.
Responsibilities- Lead coordination of multiple construction projects in an occupied healthcare facility.
- Provide oversight of construction activities on a major multi‑phase hospital renovation project.
- Monitor contractor adherence to safety plans, facility safety, and ICRA requirements.
- Coordinate ongoing work with the facility engineering team daily and progress of work for adherence to contractor schedules.
- Drive schedule, mitigate risks, and resolve site issues to keep contractors progressing to meet schedule requirements.
- Review monthly contractor invoices and provide recommendations for payment; review contractor forecasts and monthly schedule updates and provide feedback.
- Review contractor’s change orders and provide recommendations for justification and cost; monitor project documentation including submittals, RFIs, bulletins, contract changes, and invoices.
- Ensure the safety, health, and well‑being of internal and external team and the surrounding environment.
- Leverage people‑management skills to safely deliver quality projects on schedule and within budget.
- Bachelor of Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
- 10‑15+ years as a Construction Manager with responsibility for three (3) or more phases of construction (pre‑design, design, procurement, construction, post‑construction).
- Experience and relationships in the Northeast / Mid‑Atlantic healthcare market with major academic medical centers and public safety net hospitals.
- Strong construction contract knowledge and risk‑mitigation ability.
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents and specifications with knowledge of ICRA, ILSM, building codes, NFPA, FGI Guidelines, and OSHA requirements.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, organizational, planning, delegation, coaching, communication (verbal, written, interpersonal).
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- OSHA 30 certification.
- Preferred:
- 5+ years in healthcare construction/rehabilitation projects.
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Professional Engineer (PE) credential.
