We're searching for an Estimator to join one of Connecticut's largest heavy civil construction companies. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and competitive pricing of an upcoming Hartford DOT Project, with additional projects planned in the future throughout the CT region. This is an excellent opportunity for someone tired of commuting into NYC and looking for a position closer to home.

Compensation
:
The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $150,000, commensurate with experience, plus bonus and a full benefits package.

Title
:
Estimator (requires a minimum of 4 years of experience in construction estimating)

Project Types
:
Civil, Infrastructure, DOT Projects, including vertical construction projects such as maintenance and transit facilities, train stations, schools, and municipal buildings. Experience with CT DOT, Metro‑North and/or Amtrak projects is a big plus but not required.

Responsibilities
:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects, considering materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to understand project requirements fully.
• Participate in bids and proposals, ensuring all financial information is accurate and competitive.
• Utilize estimating software to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Conduct risk analysis to identify financial risks and opportunities within projects.

Qualifications
:

• Preferred Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 4 years' experience in estimating, ideally within the heavy civil and/or vertical construction sectors.
• Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
