Position: Senior Estimator, Construction (GC & CM)

Pay: $150,000 to $180,000.

Bonus: performance-based bonuses.

This Senior Estimator role is focused on our expansion efforts and will work projects in water and wastewater treatment plants/facilities/tanks and in commercial construction.

  • Has 10+ years of experience in the more complex type of construction estimating. That can include:
  • High‑engineered based construction - water and wastewater treatment plants/facilities, towers, tanks, pump stations, instrumentation, complex electrical, large equipment installation, large civil concrete work, etc.
  • Commercial construction with 1yr+ schedules and include complex project requirements, such as a $50M multi‑family, multi‑building apartments.

Responsibilities
  • Lead estimating efforts for complex commercial & infrastructure bids.
  • Perform full quantity take‑offs and subcontractor/supplier price comparisons.
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
  • Identify risk factors, constructability issues, and value‑engineering opportunities.
  • Produce competitive bid packages with clear breakdowns.
  • Collaborate with operational and engineering teams during pre‑bid planning.
  • Maintain historical cost tools and databases.
  • Train/mentor others as appropriate.
  • Uphold ACC’s core values, professionalism, and culture standards.
  • Be a self‑starter with the traits of reliability, honesty, patience, resiliency, prioritization, grit, team player, and dynamic thinker.
  • Maintain a flexible approach to adapt with company changes.
Education, Training, Key Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or work equivalent.
  • 10+ experience with complex estimating projects, as noted in the preferred types: commercial and environmental.
  • Must have good math skills: such as basic algebra, construction partial geometry and trigonometry, and standard practical math for fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
  • Takeoff expertise.
  • High proficiency with computers, Microsoft 365 tools (especially Excel), and learning new software.
  • High proficiency with typing.
  • Experience coordinating with and supporting leaders for team meetings and company reviews.
  • Driver’s license is required.
  • Reliable Transportation.
Schedule

Monday to Friday.

Daytime schedule aligned with project team.

Expected hours: 50hrs a week.
