Medical Director / Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist – Center for Healthy Families (Community Renewal Team, Inc.), Hartford, CT

OverviewThe Medical Director/Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist will oversee clinical care at the Center for Healthy Families, an outpatient clinic operated by Community Renewal Team, Inc. This leadership role combines direct patient care, clinical supervision, and program oversight to ensure the highest standards of psychiatric and behavioral health services for children, youth, and families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct psychiatric care and evaluation for children, youth, and families in an outpatient setting.
- Supervise and support clinical team members in assessment and treatment planning.
- Review and sign off on treatment plans, intakes, and clinical documentation.
- Lead and participate in monthly staff meetings, serving as Medical Director for regulatory and accreditation purposes.
- Collaborate with medical and clinical staff (including APRNs and PAs) to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Teach and mentor clinical staff in best practices for psychiatric care.
- Participate in quality assurance, performance improvement, and peer review activities.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of current trends in child and adolescent psychiatry.
- Other duties as assigned to support program quality and patient care.
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an approved residency in psychiatry.
- Board certification in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Active and unrestricted Connecticut medical license.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and families in clinical settings.
- Ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team and communicate with diverse populations.
- Willingness to attend monthly staff meetings and serve as Medical Director of record.
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred, but not required.
- Commitment to compassionate, high‑quality care and continuous improvement.
- Flexible schedule with potential for growth in hours and responsibilities.
The pay range for this position is $–$ per year.
