OPTOMETRIST – Hartford/New Haven – Part‑Time

Join Eyes On Eyecare to help provide clear vision to children in underserved communities. This part‑time role is located in Hartford, CT, and is available through Vision To Learn’s mobile clinic program.

Salary: $90 per hour plus mileage reimbursement
Benefits: Flexible schedule, mileage reimbursement

Monday‑Friday, no nights or weekends except in very rare voluntary cases. Part‑time contractor.

Provide comprehensive eye care to school‑aged children in underserved communities.

• Conduct vision evaluations: visual acuity, binocular vision, intra‑ocular pressure, pupil assessment, full refraction, and ocular health assessment.
• Prescribe vision devices and instruct patients on proper use.
• Document and record patient diagnoses and treatment outcomes in internal systems.

• Active Connecticut optometry license.
• Doctorate in optometry (required).
• Flexible to commute throughout Litchfield, Tolland, and Windham counties.
• Must pass Department of Justice background check (Live Scan) and drug test.
