Associate Chief Medical Officer

Trinity Health Of New England, the region's largest nonprofit health system, is seeking an experienced Board-Certified physician leader to be Associate Chief Medical Officer at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, CT.

In this highly visible role, you will provide physician leadership and expertise related to care coordination, length of stay (LOS)/level of care (LOC) management, care consistency management, patient flow/throughput management, ancillary service utilization (e.g., lab and radiology) and clinical documentation improvement (CDI). You will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs/CMO and a System Lead Director for Care Management and Documentation for Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center.

This is an outstanding opportunity to demonstrate clinical, academic, analytical and administrative skills as you lead, collaborate with and inspire our physicians.

You will also be a key member of the Hospital leadership team. The Associate Chief Medical Officer, in partnership with the Executive Director Care Management, oversees the development and measurement of our healthcare systems overall approach in these strategic areas:

• Inpatient Clinical Optimization
• Clinical Documentation Improvement
• Regulatory and Accreditation
• Revenue Excellence

Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience as a Physician Advisor and those who actively hold Certification by American Board of Quality Assurance Utilization Review Physicians. (ABQAURP)

The successful candidate will have proven knowledge and experience of quality in clinical optimization, performance improvement tools, regulatory issues, and strong skills in utilization management and value methodology.
