Description:
We are looking to add a Physician Assistant to the Cardiothoracic Surgery team.
The role involves inpatient care with responsibilities at two facilities.
The incumbent will provide pre-operative physical exams and patient management.
Duties include suture removal, diagnosis, treatment, and ordering tests.
Responsibilities also include interpreting tests, assisting in surgery, and writing prescriptions.
Rounding and coordination of care are essential components of the position.
Required procedures include placement of central venous and dialysis catheters.
Placement of arterial lines and intra-aortic balloon pumps is also required.
Candidates must have experience; no new graduates will be considered.
The position requires working autonomously with no supervising physician present.
Candidates should have a strong background in cardiothoracic surgery.
