Hartford Health Care's Heart & Vascular Institute is seeking an experienced Cardiologist to serve as the System Medical Director, Cardiac Imaging Integration. In this role, you will coordinate the strategic direction, operational efficiency, and clinical quality of all cardiac imaging services while delivering exceptional patient care across inpatient and outpatient settings. - Delivered in both the inpatient and outpatient arenas
- Supported by cardiovascular invasive, diagnostic, and surgical services in a collaborative and multidisciplinary setting
- Located at 85 Jefferson Street, Hartford
- Part of Hartford Health Care's Heart & Vascular Institute (HHC HVI)
Responsibilities
- Executes on comprehensive strategic plan for cardiac imaging services for all cardiac imaging modalities, in alignment and coordination with key stakeholders in Radiology and aligned with A2E2 and HVI's vision to improve access to high quality imaging services
- Collaborates with other clinical leaders to optimize patient care
- Ensures collaboration with regional radiology partners to optimize patient care for cardiac CT and cardiac MRI
- Promotes evidence-based practices and guidelines and establishes safe and effective standards for Hartford Health Care cardiac imaging
- Performs complex advanced cardiac imaging procedures, interpreting results, and providing expert consultation to referring physicians
- Identifies, develops, plans, and actualizes opportunities for program growth and innovation for cardiac imaging services across the system
- Leads quality improvement initiatives in partnership with HVI, radiology and system quality teams
- Collaborates with radiology partners and cardiologists to optimize workflows and throughput between the two specialties

Qualifications
- BC Cardiology
- Certified in multi-modality imaging
- Minimum 10 years experience
- Proven record in leadership role
