Cardiac Surgeon

The Hartford Health Care Heart and Vascular Institute is seeking a BC/BE Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join a busy and collaborative team at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut. Training and experience in robotic cardiac surgery is highly desirable for this role. Clinicians will practice in a premier cardiovascular destination offering high-volume surgical programs, advanced technologies, and robust academic opportunities.

Practice Info

• Well-established heart failure program includes transplant, VADs, and ECMO
• Strong, large volume valve surgery program: aortic replacement, TAVR, mitral repair and replacement, and mini invasive mitral and aortic surgery
• Facilities feature 40 operating rooms, including 4 dedicated to cardiac surgery, 2 state-of-the-art Hybrid rooms, and 5 robots
• Program performs more than 1,500 open heart cases per year
• Hartford Hospital is a mitral valve repair reference center with the largest volume of mitral valve surgery in the northeast
• Features a cardiothoracic surgical residency program in affiliation with and offering academic appointments through the University of Connecticut

Qualifications

• ABTS BC/BE Cardiothoracic Surgeon
• Training and experience in robotic cardiac surgery is highly desirable (Preferred)
