Non-Invasive Cardiologist - Preventive Cardiology

Hartford Health Care's Heart & Vascular Institute (HVI) is seeking a full-time board certified/board eligible Non-Invasive Cardiologist with training and/or interest in Preventive Cardiology in Hartford, Connecticut. This position delivers superb clinical care to a diverse, medically complex patient population in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Clinicians are supported by high-caliber cardiovascular invasive, diagnostic, and surgical services within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular risk assessments and managing risk factors for cardiovascular disease
• Develop tailored treatment strategies based on patient specific risk factors
• Willingness to learn about management of LDL Apheresis
• Genetic counseling for familial history of early onset heart disease
• Collaborate with primary care and multiple specialists and ancillary service providers to coordinate care

Qualifications

• Board eligible or board certified in general cardiology, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and lipid management
• NBCL certification and/or obesity management is encouraged but not required
