POSITION:
School Safety Officer - Summer School Program

REPORTS TO:

School Principal and Security Director

POSITION SUMMARY:

Ensure public safety involving the control, maintenance, and enforcement of rules and regulations governing the order and security of the Hartford Public Schools. The position requires a close daily working relationship with other personnel. Work is performed under the supervision of the school principal or assigned building administrator.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Shall be based upon a number of factors including but not limited to:

* Qualifications for the position

* Satisfactory job performance

* Seniority

* Prior relevant experience

* Receipt of disciplinary action

* Attendance

Salary and Terms of Employment:
Salary is based in accordance with Safety Officer employment contract. Candidates must work the full summer school program with no deviations. No holidays, vacation or paid sick leave during this scheduled program period. Location and hours of employment are subject to change based on student enrollment.
