For the 2026-27 academic year, the Montessori School of Greater Hartford (MSGH) is seeking classroom assistant substitutes to support our classrooms across the school.

We are looking for individuals who enjoy working with children and who are familiar with Montessori philosophy or eager to learn more. Our onboarding process includes training and extended classroom observations to help new team members become familiar with the Montessori environment andt he work of the classroom.

Successful candidates will have experience working with young children, strong attention to detail, the ability to take and follow direction, and a collaborative, positive approach to working as part of a team.

The primary responsibility of this position is to support the teacher or acting teacher in maintaining a carefully prepared environment and in facilitating the children's physical, academic, emotional, and social independence.
