Position: Tier 3 Engineer / Project Engineer (In-House)

Job Title: Tier 3 / Project Engineer

About the Role:
We are seeking a Tier 3 / Project Engineer to serve as a senior escalation point and lead complex IT projects for clients. This role focuses on cloud migrations, hybrid infrastructure, advanced security implementations, and mentoring internal staff. The engineer will ensure solutions are secure, efficient, and well-documented while providing high-level support and guidance across IT environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the final escalation point for technical support and incident resolution.

  • Lead cloud migration projects, including on-premises-to-cloud and tenant-to-tenant transitions.

  • Implement and manage security solutions such as multi-factor authentication, firewalls, and endpoint protection.

  • Architect and maintain hybrid and cloud environments using Microsoft 365, Azure, Hyper‑V, and VMware.

  • Troubleshoot network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, and wireless networks.

  • Document procedures, provide training, and transfer knowledge to internal teams and client personnel.

  • Mentor junior staff, review technical work, and foster team development.

  • Participate in after‑hours rotational support as needed.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of IT engineering experience with strong Microsoft stack, networking, and virtualization expertise.

  • Hands‑on experience with Windows Server, Microsoft 365, and cloud migration tools.

  • Proficiency with virtualization technologies (Hyper‑V, VMware).

  • Knowledge of endpoint security, MDR/EDR, and antivirus solutions.

  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize escalations effectively.

  • Nice to have: IT certifications such as Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Security+, or networking/security appliances.

Work Environment &

Location:

  • Primarily in‑office/hybrid after ramp‑up; regional travel may be required for client visits.
