Base salary range: $100k – $195k
Job Description: Oliver Wyman is seeking an experienced Annuities Manager with 5+ years in the annuity sector. The role will lead annuity product initiatives, support pricing and regulatory compliance, manage hedging and risk, and drive growth in the annuities business.
Key Responsibilities- Lead complex annuity-focused analyses covering product development, rate setting, assumption benchmarking, hedging, and valuation.
- Own ongoing communication with clients, ensuring their highest satisfaction.
- Ensure technical accuracy and integrity in work produced by junior staff.
- Produce executive‑level management reports and present findings to senior leaders, clients, and executives.
- Build a strong industry network by demonstrating expertise and highlighting Oliver Wyman’s value.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative, performance‑driven environment encouraging team members to challenge the status quo.
- Promote active knowledge sharing to support continuous learning and improvement.
- Support the professional growth of junior staff by expanding their annuity expertise and consulting capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, or related field; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., FSA, MAAA) preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with annuity products, including pricing, product development, and/or in‑force management.
- Associate or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (preferred).
- Knowledge of annuity market landscape, key players, regulatory changes, and product development trends.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Demonstrated capability to lead teams and manage multiple work streams with minimal oversight.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging diverse stakeholders.
- Effective organizational skills with a focus on delivering results in a fast‑paced environment.
- Knowledge of financial modeling systems or scripting languages (e.g., Moody’s AXIS, FIS Insurance Risk Suite, R, Python) is valuable.
