Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day accounting and financial operations, including the general ledger, month-end/year-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting, accounts payable oversight, and internal controls.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reporting for leadership and the Board.

Lead annual audit preparation and serve as a key liaison with external auditors.

Support tax compliance and annual nonprofit tax filings.

Partner closely with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, financial analysis, and long-term planning.

Prepare budget-to-actual reporting and analyze variances in partnership with internal teams.

Support grant and contract payment processing and related accounting.

Oversee investment accounting and reconciliations while coordinating with external investment advisors, custodians, and banking partners.

Assist with payroll and benefits oversight and other finance/operations-related activities as needed.

Maintain and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and overall efficiency.

Serve as an approachable finance partner across the organization and assist the CFO with special projects and strategic initiatives.
