Duties- Conduct complex criminal investigations targeting narc Schadtrials and drug‑related activities.
- Prepare comprehensive criminal investigativeмі profiles and briefings for senior personnel and other federal, state, and local agencies.
- Identify and apprehend drug traffickers and arrest individuals engaged in criminal drug activities.
- Gather and analyze evidence through investigative leads, seizures, arrests, execution of search warrants, and other means.
- Testify on behalf of the Federal government in court or before grand juries.
Applicants who have not completed previous federal law‑enforcement training must attend a 16‑week residential training program. Candidates with completed Federal Criminal Investigation training may qualify for a 3‑week Special Agent Transition Program (FCIT transcripts required).
Requirements- U.S. citizenship required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top‑Secret security clearance.
- Sign a mobility agreement to accept relocation to any DEA location.
- Complete pre‑employment medical clearance and annual medical exam.
- Complete a full‑scope pre‑employment polygraph. Prior polygraph reciprocity may be considered.
- Register with Selective Service (if applicable).
- Age 21‑36, unless a preference‑eligible veteran or former federal civilian law‑enforcement retiree.
- Pass E‑Verify employment verification check.
- Serve a 1‑ or 2‑year trial period with performance evaluation.
- Maintain a valid state driver’s license.
- Subject to random drug testing.
- Complete BAT (16‑20 weeks) at the DEA Training Academy unless qualified by FCIT.
Meet at least one of the basic qualification requirements below. Education must be accredited by a recognized accrediting institution and the applicant must submit transcripts.
- GL‑07 Level: One year of specialized experience at GL/GS‑05 equivalent or graduate education (full‑year graduate study) or Superior Academic Achievement (SAA) with grades G ≥ 3.0 or 3.5, membership in honor society, or upper‑third class standing.
- GL‑09 Level: One year of experience at GL/GS‑07 equivalent or Master’s degree, 2 years graduate education, LL.B. or J.D.; or combination of education and experience ≥ 100 %
- GL‑11 Level: One year of specialized experience at GL/GS‑09 equivalent or Ph.D. or three years graduate education; or combination of education and૫ experience ≥ 100 %

Location:
