DescriptionSaint Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Of New England looking for a Manager of Clinical Pastoral Education to our Spiritual Care and Mission Integration team.
The CPE Manager will be responsible for developing, organizing, and administering the CPE programs at Saint Francis Hospital and Trinity Health Of New England.
What you will do- Develops curriculum for ACPE-Accredited Levels IA, IB, IIA, IIB and Certified Educator Candidate training.
- Organizes the admission and onboarding process for new CPE students.
- Markets the CPE Programs and administers all educational/clinical events and relevant to the Program.
- Evaluates, develops, and manages the CPE Programs to maintain accreditation standards and regulations.
- Develops educational presentations about Spiritual Care, chaplaincy skills, and related topics.
- Oversee the CPE Educator(s) and collaborate with colleagues in the organizing of the CPE programs and supervision of CPE students.
- Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
- Education:
undergraduate or graduate degrees from a college, university, or theological school accredited by the Council for Higher Education (CHE) or the Association of Theological Schools (ATS) such as a degree in theology (e.g. M.Div.) or a related field (e.g. pastoral ministry, pastoral counseling, mission leadership). - Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of the administration and management of an ACPE Center, including policy and curriculum development, business planning and implementation, and curriculum development.
- Certification as a CPE Educator or Phase 2 CEC with the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education, Inc. (ACPE); ordination or ministry licensure or endorsement by denomination or faith group.
- Three to five years of progressively more responsible CPE/Spiritual Care experience within an acute care and/or related healthcare ministry.
- Three to five years of faith group ministry and/or similar professional leadership preferred. An equivalent combination of experience may be considered.
- Ecclesiastical endorsement as required for ACPE Educator certification.
- Additional certification as a chaplain by a nationally recognized professional certifying agency is preferred, namely the Association of Professional Chaplains (APC), the National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC), Neshama (the National Association of Jewish Chaplains/NAJC), or the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care (CASC).
- Expertise in project leadership, process improvement, budgetary management as well as strong analytical skills. Excellent communication skills, computer skills.
- Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health.
