We are seeking an experienced AWS Redshift Administrator Engineer responsible for administering and maintaining scalable cloud environments and applications for data organization. The role involves implementing Infrastructure as Code, managing AWS databases, troubleshooting systems, and ensuring optimal system performance. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AWS cloud administration, database management, performance tuning, and scripting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain scalable cloud environments and applications for data organization
  • Understand business objectives and create cloud-based solutions to facilitate those objectives
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code and deploy code using Terraform and Git Lab
  • Install and maintain software, services, and applications by identifying system requirements
  • Perform hands-on AWS services, database, and server troubleshooting
  • Manage and maintain AWS Redshift, RDS, MySQL, and Snowflake databases
  • Identify system requirements, install upgrades, and monitor system performance
  • Migrate systems between AWS cloud accounts
  • Perform system monitoring, analysis, and performance tuning
  • Troubleshoot system hardware, software, and operating system issues
  • Secure web systems by managing system access, monitoring, and control
  • Test disaster recovery policies and procedures, including backup maintenance
  • Upgrade systems and services by developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements
  • Communicate with internal teams, including EIMO, Operations, and Cloud Architects
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to build applications that meet project requirements
  • Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in system, platform, and AWS cloud administration
  • 5-7 years of experience in database administration and AWS technologies
  • Expertise in AWS services including EC2, Redshift, VPC, S3, and RDS
  • Proficiency in Java, Python, Redshift, MySQL, or equivalent database tools
  • Experience with Agile software development using JIRA
  • Strong knowledge of multiple OS platforms, with an emphasis on Linux and Windows
  • Experience with OS-level scripting environments such as KSH shell and Power Shell
  • Proficiency with version management tools and CI/CD pipelines
  • In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, security architecture, and hardening of OS, networks, databases, and applications
  • Advanced SQL knowledge, including query authoring and performance tuning
  • Experience supporting and optimizing data pipelines and data sets
  • Understanding of the Incident Response lifecycle
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
