As a Senior Azure APIM developer, you will be primarily responsible for developing APIM processes in a scrum team, delivering work, and building reusable components on APIM Gateway technologies. You will collaborate closely with the technical lead and scrum master for reviews and issue resolution, ensuring timely deliverables.

Lead the development of APIM processes, provide technical guidance, contribute to reusable components, and ensure smooth delivery of assigned work.

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution. Three‑year progressive experience may substitute for one year of education.
• At least 4 years of relevant IT experience.
• Authorised to work in the United States without employer‑based visa sponsorship. Immigration sponsorship not available.
• Positions located in Hartford, CT, Indianapolis, IN, Raleigh, NC, Richardson, TX, or Tempe, AZ; relocation and/or travel may be required.

• Design, develop, and maintain APIs using APIM gateway platforms (Azure APIM, Apigee, etc.).
• Configure and manage APIM administrative tasks (policies, access control, analytics, runtime management).
• Implement Git‑based version control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Conduct API testing with Postman, SoapUI, and best practices.
• Develop RESTful and SOAP services, integrating with internal/external systems via APIs and file transfers.
• Ensure secure API interactions using OAuth2, JWT, TLS, Okta, etc.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and support integrations and APIM performance.
• Hands‑on API development and gateway configuration.
• Proficiency in APIM Gateway, API Manager, Runtime Manager.
• Expertise in Git and release management.
• Experience with SQL Server (queries, procedures, tuning).
• Familiarity with REST, SOAP, XML, JSON, flat file (CSV, fixed‑width).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of application security and secure API interactions.
• Experience with Agile Scrum and JIRA.
• Exposure to enterprise architecture and design principles.
• APIM certifications (Azure APIM, Apigee). Healthcare integration/standards (HIE, HL7, FHIR, HIPAA) are a plus.

Requires sitting and working at a computer for extended periods. Must communicate via telephone, email, or face‑to‑face. Travel may be required.
