Oracle Database Administrator

Infosys is seeking an Oracle Database Administrator
. This role requires close partnership and collaboration with other engineers and subject matter experts.

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Malta, NY;
  Burlington, VT; or Hartford, CT, or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of each year of education.
• Limited to “U.S. persons” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 – U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents and certain refugees and asylees.
• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
• At least 4 years of experience in project life cycle activities on support and maintenance projects.
• At least 4 years of Oracle Database Administration experience (primary skill) and MS SQL DBA skill (secondary).
• Perform installation, infrastructure testing, configuration, patching, upgrade, migration and administration of Oracle databases 11g, 12c, 18c, 19c and MS SQL Server 2008R2 and above.
• Provide support for troubleshooting and maintenance of databases using Oracle and SQL Server technologies.
• Install and configure packaged vendor‑based systems.
• Implement and upgrade database management systems as business needs demand.
• Administer database security according to documented procedures.
• Perform periodic database maintenance: patching, regular backups, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery tests.
• Monitor database performance and fine‑tune databases as needed.
• Work with replication tools such as Dataguard, RMAN, Goldengate and SQL Server Always‑on availability to maintain disaster recovery environments.
• Provide ongoing support on database issues and ticket management as defined in Working Practices.
• Provide after‑hours and on‑call support to critical databases.
