About the Role
We are hiring a highly skilled Network Systems Engineer / IT Infrastructure Manager to independently manage full IT operations for a technology-driven engineering firm. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on technical work, supporting a hybrid Windows and Linux environment in a fast-paced, engineering-focused organization.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure across Linux and Windows systems
- Configure and manage servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and access points
- Troubleshoot network, system, and end-user issues
- Oversee Microsoft 365, Exchange, Active Directory, DNS, and SSO
- Implement cybersecurity standards (NIST 800-171, CMMC 2.0)
- Establish data protection, encryption, and backup strategies
- Manage IT procurement, planning, and system upgrades
- Support and optimize engineering applications (Solid Works, ANSYS, MATLAB)
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on IT systems and infrastructure management
- Strong experience with Linux and Windows Server environments
- Microsoft 365, Exchange, Active Directory, DNS, and SSO expertise
- Scripting or automation skills using Ansible, Bash, or Python
- Experience with networking (servers, routers, switches)
- Cybersecurity experience with NIST 800-171 or CMMC 2.0
- Ability to function as a one-person IT department
- CCNA or similar certification
- Docker or Kubernetes familiarity
- MySQL or database management
- Experience with HPC or data science infrastructure
- Python scripting knowledge
