The Role

The Application Support Manager (IT Manager
2) will lead the team responsible for providing second and third level support for all DCF-developed and/or hosted applications. Reporting to the Customer Success Manager, you will oversee critical application support via various channels, ensuring professional incident and problem management. You will act as the primary escalation manager for major incidents, provide updates to senior leadership, and guide the team through the transition to cloud‑based solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with development and QA managers to ensure proper processes in the Dev Ops lifecycle and contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
  • Manage and lead the team delivering level 2 and 3 support for all DCF-developed and/or hosted applications.
  • Oversee the team’s production control, release, and support processes.
  • Implement and manage Dev Ops processes in support of in‑house development teams and contracted vendors.
  • Work closely with the DCF Development Manager, QA Manager, and vendors to ensure appropriate testing and promotion of applications through the Dev Ops lifecycle.
  • Guide the team through the strategic shift from on‑premises hosting to cloud‑based solutions.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for major incidents impacting DCF-hosted applications.
  • Provide major incident status updates to senior IT and agency leadership.
  • Prepare and present status reports on availability and performance of DCF-hosted applications using tools such as Solar Winds Orion.
  • Provide input to disaster recovery and business continuity planning from the production application support perspective.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Ten (10) years of experience in computer or network administration, architecture, operations, production control, systems development, information technology analysis, and planning.
  • Two (2) years of the general experience must have been in a supervisory capacity or one (1) year in a managerial capacity.
  • College training in computer science, management information systems or a closely related field may be substituted, with fifteen (15) semester hours equaling one half (1/2) year of experience, up to a maximum of four (4) years for a Bachelor’s degree.
  • A Master’s degree may be substituted for one additional year of experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Salesforce SaaS CRM, Mule Soft, Azure SQL Server, and Tableau.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Dev Ops Server or Microsoft Team Foundation Server.
  • Experience providing 24/7 call-out support for business-critical enterprise systems.
  • Experience in environments utilizing Dev Ops practices.
  • Experience hosting IIS applications on Windows Server 2016 or higher.
