Overview
We are seeking a Senior Dev Ops Engineer to join a team focused on accelerating cloud adoption and modernizing development practices. The role is primarily hands‑on (80%) with some leadership responsibilities (20%), including mentoring three junior offshore engineers. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Azure Dev Ops (ADO), CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, and Jenkins, and will play a key role in defining and implementing best practices for automation and cloud architecture.
Responsibilities- Design and implement cloud‑based architecture, networking, and containerization using Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC).
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines leveraging Azure Dev Ops, Terraform, and Jenkins.
- Develop reusable automation patterns that emphasize scalability, performance, and security.
- Mentor and guide junior offshore engineers, fostering a Dev Ops culture across teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify gaps and propose modernization opportunities.
- Document process flows, release pipelines, and technical designs.
- Act as a thought leader and advocate for Dev Ops best practices within the organization.
- 5+ years in application development and Dev Ops engineering.
- Strong hands‑on experience with Azure Dev Ops, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, and Jenkins.
- Proficiency in Azure services (Compute, Storage, Networking, App Service, Logic Apps, VMSS, Security).
- Experience with Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools (ARM templates, Terraform, Puppet, Ansible).
- Skilled in scripting languages:
Bicep, Power Shell, Bash, Python. - Knowledge of cloud cost optimization, governance, and Fin Ops practices.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills; ability to guide junior engineers.
- Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
- Experience in Agile environments (SAFe preferred).
- Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Dev Ops Engineer Expert).
- Focus in Application Security / Dev Sec Ops .
- Hybrid role: 2 days on‑site per week.
