Ab Initio Architect

Liaison between business and technical team to define requirements

Acts as the subject matter expert for the assigned domain and product

Defines business issues, data challenges, and solutions to fit user requirements

Identifies breakdowns in technology and business processes

Understands and communicates the direction, structure, and requirements for each project

Understands the processes and specifications of each assigned system

Documents and analyzes required information and data

Prepares detailed requirement specifications (functional and non-functional), wire frames, use cases, and business process recommendations.

Understands the direction, structure, and requirements for each project from the business line side and communicate them to the development and testing staff

Assists the testing team to define test conditions relevant to the project requirements

Contributes in development of complete accurate test plans and testing efforts throughout the duration of the project

Effectively communicates risks and system issues to the Project Manager and development team

Assists in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules

Participates in architectural analysis and source to data mapping if required

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with business and IT community.

Strong Knowledge of Dimensional Modelling, DW architecture, ETL Frameworks, Design and Development using Ab Initio, Best Practices and Troubleshooting

Understanding of Unix/Linux system, file systems, shell scripting

Experience with design and implementation of ETL/ELT framework for complex warehouses/marts

Hands-on development mentality, with a willingness to troubleshoot and solve complex problems

Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment

Experience in Insurance domain

Strong analytical skills

Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment

Experience and desire to work in a management consulting environment that requires regular travel

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

At least 5 years of experience with DW/BI and ETL tools.

At least 2 years of hands on experience in Design, Development & Build activities in Ab Initio Projects - MUST.

At least 7 years of experience in Project life cycle activities on DW/BI development and maintenance projects and IT
