- Location:
450 Columbus Blvd, Hartford, CT.
- Direction and coordination of IT services throughout the State.
- Staff management and oversight of operational and strategic processes (product lifecycle management, service request fulfillment, incident and problem management, reporting).
- Administration of resource plans for projects, enhancements, sustainment, day‑to‑day and on‑call support.

Accountable for management and direction of information systems, applications development, systems maintenance, and related IT functions.
Examples of Duties- Plan, organize and manage IT services unit operations.
- Establish priorities for system development and projects in accordance with agency requirements.
- Coordinate, plan, and manage solution architecture projects.
- Direct planning, design, and implementation of complex storage solutions.
- Develop plans for future IT service utilization.
- Ensure high-quality, low-cost technology solutions aligned with state needs.
- Align IT planning with business strategy.
- Lead standards development and decision‑making regarding system/application changes.
- Manage IT activities in infrastructure, architecture, applications, networks, operations, and support.
- Oversee IT projects from conception to completion.
- Collaborate with leadership teams to maximize cross‑team contributions.
- Lead IT operations to ensure exceptional quality and timely response to customer service issues.
- Interface regularly with clients/customers.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and competitive dynamics.
- Capture competitive advantages and drive innovation and improvement.
- Coordinate use of people, resources, technologies, processes, and capabilities to reach strategic goals.
- Promote department values and foster collaboration.
- Strengthen staff through choice, development, and support.
- Focus on continuous learning.
- Lead recruitment, hiring, outreach, interview, and selection of staff.
- Perform related duties as required.
