POSITION HIGHLIGHTS- Full time, 40 hours per week
- First shift, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility based on operational needs
- Centrally located in Hartford, CT (505 Hudson Street)

The Application Support Manager (IT Manager
2) will be managing the team responsible for providing second and third level support for all DCF-developed and/or hosted applications. Reporting to the Customer Success Manager, you will oversee critical application support via various channels, ensuring professional incident and problem management. You will act as the primary escalation manager for major incidents, provide updates to senior leadership, and guide the team in transitioning from on-premises to cloud-based solutions.
Additionally, the Application Support Manager (IT Manager
2) can expect to:
- Collaborate with development and QA managers to ensure proper processes in the Dev Ops lifecycle, and contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity planning
- Manage and lead the team responsible for providing level 2 and 3 support for all DCF developed and/or hosted applications
- Oversee the team's production control, release, and support processes
- Oversee the team's implementation and management of Dev Ops processes in support of the in-house development teams and contracted development vendors
- Work closely with the DCF Development Manager, QA Manager and vendors to ensure appropriate processes are followed in testing and promoting in-house/vendor developed applications through the Dev Ops lifecycle
- Guide the team through strategic changes from a focus on-premises hosting of applications to cloud based solutions
- Act as the primary management escalation point for major incidents impacting DCF hosted applications
- Provide major incident status updates to senior IT and Agency leadership
- Prepare and present status reports relating to the availability and performance of DCF hosted applications using tools such as Solar Winds Orion
- Provide input to disaster recovery and business continuity planning from the production application support point of view
